Tour Plan
Day 1:
Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley (6 HOURS DRIVE)
Start your 4-day desert tour by leaving Marrakech early in the morning. Our driver will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel between 07:00 to 08:00 AM and escort you to the departure point. Your journey begins by enjoying the pretty views while crossing the High Atlas Mountains and the Tiz-in-Tichka pass (2260m) making several stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route shows us, to rest and/or take pictures.
We will follow the road until we reach aitbenhaddou, The oldest and most famous site of earthen architecture in Morocco, the emblem of the Berber tradition in southeastern Morocco and one of 9 places in the country designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage. Day 2:
BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY –TINGHIR- TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA (5 HOURS DRIVE)
Begin your second day with a delicious breakfast in Boumalne Dades Valley, As you leave the valley and after a journey full of ksour, oasis, and palm trees we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular gorges of Todra are) perched at 1,350m altitudes and surrounded by a palm grove. After several stops, we will reach one of the strong points of the south: The Gorges of the Todra 300m, The Todra river bed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty, it is the paradise of the climbers and a unique place. lunch on the site and then to the desert until we reach the impressive Dunes of Merzouga where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a little.
At the hotel, we will leave what we do not need and we will take the camels to enter the desert, while the sun sets, until we reach the camp in the middle of the high dune desert, where we will have dinner and spend the night under millions of stars.
Day 3:
Merzouga – 4x4 Half Day Tour in Desert of Merzouga
In the morning we will go back to the hotel to have breakfast and take a comforting shower. an opportunity to swim in the hotel pool, Then we will start your half day tour withe 4×4 in Merzouga Sahara , Our route will take us along the Sahara desert landscapes with spectacular views of the local villages. You will have some free time to capture the amazing landscapes on camera as the guide makes stops anywhere you need. Enjoy our ATV excursion in comfortable vehicle to try some thrilling across Sahara dunes.
We drive to explore the tiny villages around Erg Chebbi dunes such as Hassi Labied, Merzouga and Khamlia. In Hassilabied you will have a stop at a garden where you will view the canal irrigation system. From here we will continue the trail towards Merzouga. Finally, the guide readjusts the vehicle to suit roads and then we head back to Merzouga village and to your hotel.
after your tour with car you have a free time to explore the activities on offer in the desert area and enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel with a fine dinner to round the day off. There are plenty of activities like quad biking, buggy riding across the dunes and biking but these will be at your own expense.
Day 4:
Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fes
We rise early to witness the sunrise and then enjoy breakfast before we start the trip,
Meet your new driver and vehicle and drive to one of the world’s cleanest and most fascinating cities. Ifrane is known in Morocco as a “Little Switzerland” as it lies high up in the Atlas Mountains and it is known to snow here during the winter season. Lunch can be taken at any café in your way
before we head back through the Atlas Mountains and back into Marrakech for our journey’s end. Your 3-day Merzouga desert tour will end in CITY OF FES at about 6.00 p.m.
